Rafa was absolutely shattered to hear about the vicious attack
The news of Rafael Nadal pulling out of French Open has come as a shocker to all. The nine time French Open champion has withdrawn due to a left wrist injury.
“Yesterday I played with an injection,” the 29-year-old told a news conference on Friday. “Yesterday evening I started to feel more and more pain and today I felt I could not move my wrist.”

“Nine times in my career I have been able to be healthy here in Paris and win this tournament. This is a tough moment and the toughest press conference I have ever had to give but it’s not the end,” Nadal said.
To avoid risking his wrist of any more injury, the decision to pull out was taken, just 24 hours before he was due to face compatriot Marcel Granollers in Round 3.
After the announcement, this is how Twitter reacted :
This year's FO marks only the 2nd time since the 2003 FO that neither Federer nor Nadal will be playing the 3rd round of a Grand Slam. #RG16

#Nadal never cried during English press, but definitely wiped his eyes as journos exited. As disappointed as I've ever seen #RG16
