The Japanese did not face a single break point on her serve in the whole match as she was cruised with a business-like victory over the unseeded Pavlyuchenkova.

The 21-year-old put her hands on the trophy for the first time at Japan’s Women Open after failing to win the title the last two times, when she ended up being the runners-up of the event.
