Naomi Osaka To Be Fined By WTA at Birmingham Nature Valley Classic 2019

Naomi Osaka continues to have shoddy run on the WTA courts after her Australian Open 2019 title and turning World Number one. After her loss in Birmingham, as reports suggest, the Japanese ace, Naomi Osaka refuses to attend the press conference of the tournament and she turned down the reporters.

If a tennis professional declines to be present at the press, they are fined for the same by WTA or ATP and Naomi Osaka accepted the financial penalty for not attending the press.

The top-seed, Naomi Osaka apparently felt uncomfortable after her loss to the 28th seed, Yulia Putintseva and hence she decided to walk away without having a word with the press reporters. The post-press conferences are a significant part of the game.
