Fans Urge Trackhouse Racing to Bring F1 Star to NASCAR Amid Rumors of Their Replacement

Reports have been flying around that a Formula One driver might have to end his contract early, as he is being replaced by someone else in 2023. In light of this, NASCAR fans have been urging Trackhouse racing to pick the Formula One star up as soon as possible.

Oscar Piastri was named the replacement for two-time world champion Fernando Alonso by Alpine. This is because, earlier, Alonso had announced that he’d jump ship to Aston Martin in 2023.

However, a few hours later, Piastri announced that he will not be racing for Alpine, since he did not sign any contract. Now reports suggest that Piastri might instead join McLaren. That will remove Daniel Ricciardo from a drive in F1 altogether.

Ricciardo has been a massive fan of NASCAR from his early years. Even though he is Australian, he really enjoys every time he goes to the United States for a race.
Being an avid supporter of Dale Earnhardt Sr. during his childhood, he got to drive one of the legend’s former cars. McLaren CEO Zak Brown had promised to let him drive the Earnhardt car he owns if he gets a podium for McLaren, which he did in the form of a race win at Monza in 2021.

On hearing that Ricciardo’s F1 career might seemingly come to an end, many NASCAR fans took to Twitter and urged Trackhouse Racing to give him a seat.

Trackhouse racing is a Cup Series team owned by Justin Marks. They were recently in the headlines for their Project 91. This endeavor allows the team to give various motorsport athletes a shot in NASCAR. The first name that has been associated with them is former F1 champion Kimi Räikkönen.

Piastri & Norris at McLaren will be an incredible partnership, but must be hard for Herta, Palou & O’Ward since this will likely be a long term partnership.
