In all honesty, NASCAR and Formula One couldn’t be any more different. However, there are a few things that do connect the sport. One of them is the sponsors, as some of them can be a bit common. For example, Monster Energy is a common sponsor for Lewis Hamilton and Kurt Busch. However, it appears that sports apparel brand Under Armour sponsors Haas F1 driver and NASCAR Truck driver Hailie Deegan.

Speaking about his Under Armour association in 2019, Schumacher said, “Under Armour has a lot of experience in collaborating with professional athletes, and a great expertise in creating high-tech apparel and footwear. This helps me enhance my performance faster and more effectively, especially when it comes to optimizing my fitness and recovery times.

“In Portland, they can test and analyse an athlete’s cognitive abilities, physical fitness, and regeneration capacity, as well as optimizing one’s diet. The Center for Performance Innovation offers a lot of interesting possibilities for my future, and I plan to take full advantage of it.”

What about Hailie Deegan and her Under Armour connection?

As it turns out, Deegan has been with the brand far longer than Schumacher. To be precise, she joined up in 2017 for the brand’s youth drive. Since then, she has never looked back and has been advancing her career in leaps and bounds. Hailie Deegan has been fairly successful in her race craft, taking three wins in the K&N Pro Series. In addition to that, she finished third in the ARCA Series last year. This year, she had the best finish of 7th in the Truck Series.

The 20-year-old will be looking forward to the 2022 Truck season and a chance to improve her position. The 7th place at Gateway will be a massive confidence booster, so she could use that as a springboard for higher success.
