“Three GOATs in One Picture” – NASCAR Fans React as Old Lewis Hamilton, Jeff Gordon & Mario Andretti Snap Emerges

Originally, Jeff Gordon was supposed to have his last race at Homestead Miami back in 2015. Instead, he went on for the next year and finally finished his glorious career at Martinsville Speedway in 2016.
However, back at Homestead, Jeff Gordon had some special guests along with him, who came down to wish him farewell on his supposedly last race.

Recently a picture was shared around Twitter that had the legendary Mario Andretti and Sir Lewis Hamilton standing beside Jeff Gordon at Homestead Miami during the 2015 season.
Looking back at the memory, fans took their time to reminisce about the moment and share their appreciation for the trio.

Seeing three of the biggest drivers in one frame surely excited the motorsport fans. All three of them have won at least one championship and multiple accolades throughout their careers.
Although Gordon and Andretti are retired, Hamilton is still pushing on with his Formula One career.

The legendary Jeff Gordon had won a total of four Cup Championships in his evergreen career.
Now, after all these years since his retirement, his name is floating back up again after Hendrick Motorsports announced that they will be fielding a NASCAR Next-Gen car at the iconic 24 hours of LeMans.

During an interview, Gordon said, “As far as competing (again), I don’t know.”

“This Le Mans program looks interesting. Probably going to do a little simulator work for them. My last race was the 24 hours of Daytona. I love that event. We had good success by winning it with Wayne Taylor Racing and with Cadillac.”
“And so this program is something that would be exciting to go to Le Mans. I want to be a part of it. We are a part of it with Hendrick, but I just don’t know if I’ll be able to get behind the wheel and drive it in that race.”

While there are several candidates on the present roster of Hendrick’s drivers, there seems to be a possibility that legends such as Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon could be given a drive for the iconic race at Circuit de la Sarthe.
