Hamlin’s message was allegedly aimed at Carson Hocevar, who had been blasted for his dirty driving in the said race. The comment was seen as a subtle critique of Hocevar’s behavior on the track, and fans quickly chimed in with their own thoughts on the matter.

Hocevar has been making waves in the NASCAR world since his debut in the Camping World Truck Series. He has consistently shown that he has what it takes to be a top driver, but his latest actions on the track have some fans questioning whether he has what it takes to be a true NASCAR champion.

During the Long John Silver’s 200, Hocevar seemed to have an issue with William Sawalich as he door-slammed him. Subsequently, Taylor Gray bumped into him, following which Hocevar latched onto Gray’s truck. Unfortunately for Hocevar, this move backfired as he was the only driver to lose control of his truck, resulting in a two-lap penalty.

According to Hocevar, he did not intentionally collide with Gray, as his left rear tire had blown out. However, NASCAR Truck Series officials did not agree with his explanation. Even NASCAR driver Hamlin also expressed his disapproval on Twitter, asking, “What’s wrong with that kid?”

Hamlin’s comment sparked a heated debate among NASCAR fans, with many calling for Hocevar to clean up his act. While some fans defended Hocevar’s driving as simply aggressive, others argued that his behavior was dangerous and unnecessary.

A fan agreed with Hamlin’s tweet and replied, “He’s been doing that since day one. He nearly hurt someone at texas because he thinks winning is more important then someone’s heath.”

Another fan tweeted, “Hamlin asking what I’ve been asking for years. Hocevar is unbearable.. 5+ stunts a year like that.”

One fan commented, “Can’t believe I pulled for CH for as long as I did. It’s really embarrassing because it’s consistently getting worse. Maybe Vickernism is contagious. The sufferer is getting vindictive!”

This is not the first time that Hocevar has been criticized for his driving style. Some fans feel that he has a reputation for being a dirty driver and that he needs to clean up his act if he wants to be taken seriously in the sport.

“I’ve been saying this for two years now,” tweeted one fan. “He’s been doing that since day one. He nearly hurt someone at Texas because he thinks winning is more important than someone’s health.”

Fans also drew a comparison between the Niece Motorsports Driver and Ross Chastain:

While some fans appreciate Hocevar’s aggressive driving style, others feel that he needs to tone it down and focus more on driving clean and safe. Ultimately, it will be up to Hocevar to decide how he wants to approach his driving going forward. However, it is clear that he will need to win over some of his critics if he wants to be seen as a potential NASCAR champion.
