Of course, people do fancy watching from home but the romance of a live experience is incomparable. Interestingly, depending on the venue, an average ticket can cost anywhere between $30 to $120 per person.

Fans slam NASCAR for obscene pricing following the disclosure of the Augusta National Golf Club details
For almost nine decades, Augusta National Golf Club has played host to the annual Masters Tournament. The 2023 Masters kick-started this week and the concession menu was recently revealed. Interestingly, the most expensive item on the menu was white wine, priced at $6.

It is quite cheap considering how the prices of eatables and beverages are at venues of some other elite sports. For reference, a bottle of water at the 2023 Super Bowl cost more than any item present on the concession menu. In fact, it is something that infuriated NASCAR fans, given how prices have been at the races this season.

It is worth noting that NASCAR allows fans to bring in their own food and beverages. Having said that, it still doesn’t help how inflation has affected the sport.

The outrageous pricing in sporting venues is a huge concern for fans and it is about time NASCAR takes a hard look at it. What probably could the governing body do to make it more workable for the fans?
