Last weekend’s race at Texas Motor Speedway turned into quite a controversial one. After Cody Ware’s rear end snapped and launched him into the wall, the Stewarts put out a yellow flag. But that’s where the party started because William Byron hit Denny Hamlin’s car in the rear and pushed the #11 off the track. Funny enough, NASCAR decided not to fine anyone.

But the TJ Majors and Bubba Wallace’s spotter, Freddie Kraft, have their eyebrows raised.

In a recent episode of Door, Bumper, Clear! The two talked about the latest conundrum by NASCAR. TJ Majors said, “I mean, racing door to door, bumping somebody, and maybe getting into Newman and sending him off the racetrack in a corner is one thing. But like, under yellow? I don’t think there’s a place for that under yellow to wreck somebody.”

It clearly was quite an obvious wreck, according to many fans. In fact, you can watch Byron‘s in-car footage on social media. Even Kraft pointed it out, “All I had to do is check the Social Media department because they had a video of it up 10 minutes later.”

TJ argues that the #24 car obviously wrecked Hamlin, “Every car has an in-car camera when the yellow’s clearly out in the middle of [corner] 3 and 4 and he gets to him, and you clearly hear the motor rev up and hit him. I don’t know what else you would need.”

Kraft seems to agree “I mean listen, they literally posted a video of it. NASCAR, NASCAR themselves posted a video of William driving through the back of Denny and then they come out and say we didn’t see it.”

But what do the fans think?

NASCAR Fans think NASCAR should penalize William Byron for wrecking Denny Hamlin

The Hendrick favoritism is a tale that fans will constantly argue is true, but this might go down as one of those moments which seem to prove it. And the fans believe Byron should have to face the consequences.

One fan said, “24 should have been penalized… NASCAR just gave permission for anybody to basically spin the car In front if you under yellow if they are faster…. Cause they can’t get the spot back….between tires and this bs… NASCAR has got serious problems on their hands.”

While another one made fun of NASCAR as they bring back an old memory, Hamlin: Get’s spun out under caution.
NASCAR: your fault for not maintaining speed under caution

Me: “NASCAR you know that a Montreal 07 moment’s inevitable now, right?”

Some fans think this is the “Start of a rivalry”

Other fans found a loophole in NASCAR’s own rules, “Whatever happened to “positions are frozen at the moment of caution”. Not a Denny fan, but it’s pretty common sense to put Hamlin back in second at the green flag.”

“Not a Hamlin fan but not letting him get his position back for Byron spinning him out under caution is pretty stupid.”
