The eldest child of NASCAR driver Kyle Larson and his wife, Katelyn Larson, Owen Miyata Larson was born on December 22, 2014. As of May 2025, Owen is ten years old. At birth, he weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces, and measured 19.5 inches long. From a young age, Owen has shared his father’s passion for racing. He amazed Kyle with his natural talent when he first took the wheel of a specially designed Outlaw Kart at just five years old. By the age of nine, Owen made history by driving the No. 81 sprint car to a memorable victory in his very first junior sprint race at Coles County Speedway.

Owen has a strong relationship with both of his parents. While Katelyn posts poignant messages on social media to honor Owen’s birthdays and accomplishments, Kyle frequently shares moments of pride and excitement from his racing feats.
