Such is his drive to win that he won’t shy away from taking extreme, often questionable measures to satisfy his unsatisfiable itch.

And if one thinks, now that he has retired or he is old, now that he has reached the ‘GOAT’ level of greatness, that he has changed, that he has become satisfied or, God forbid, less motivated, think again.

Because Michael Jordan is still the competitor he was, something NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace recently re-established.

Michael Jordan often bets against Bubba Wallace in NASCAR

In a recent appearance at Jimmie Kimmel Live, Bubba Wallace described the tactics his boss uses to fire him up. “He’s always finding ways to motivate you whether that’s kind of betting against you or saying things,” Wallace said. “He’ll fire you up.”

“He’s like, ‘Oh you won’t do this today.’ And then you go out and do it, and he’s like, ‘Oh you did it. Good job.'”

But regardless, Bubba Wallace believes being around Michael Jordan “is actually really fun.” And why won’t it be? Who hasn’t been around bosses that want you to succeed by wanting you to fail?
