Michael Jordan’s Business Partner Denny Hamlin Uses LeBron James to Justify Why Kyle Busch Must Take a Paycut

Right now, one of the biggest questions plaguing the Cup Series paddock is about the future of a certain Kyle Busch. With the departure of M&M’s from the sport, the #18 driver is left without a primary sponsor. Suffice to say, no matter who you are in the sport, nobody can last long without sponsors backing them.

However, Busch’s teammate Denny Hamlin believes that the 2-time Cup champion will have to take a few concessions.

He said, “I think that Kyle has seen that there’s a shift, and he has to take some concessions.”

“It sticks, I wish this wasn’t the case. Certainly, we saw the thing with LeBron, I’m not saying that Kyle is LeBron by any means. But if the Lakers lose a sponsor, they still sign LeBron, it doesn’t matter about that.”

“That’s the only difference in their model and our model is that when you make a sponsorship dependent, then these type of things happen, and you have a risk of one of your most popular and polarizing drivers not racing in 2023.”

The veteran driver is pretty much hoping that he will return to Joe Gibbs Racing for the upcoming season. However, time is running out and he has to step up his efforts to hunt for a new sponsor.

It should not be so hard, given that he is a two-time champion and a hugely talented driver to boot. Though it is worth mentioning that as a two-time champion, his wages could be pretty steep.
