Larson has been nominated for the best driver at the 2022 ESPYs.

Moreover, Larson has a chance at being the 19th NASCAR Cup Series driver to win the award. In fact, Larson is the first driver to win ten NASCAR Cup Series races in one season after the Seven-Time Cup Series Champion Jimmie Johnson in 2007.

Without a doubt, Larson deserves of the award. His teammate, and 2020 Cup Series Champion Chase Elliott, was nominated in 2021 for the same award. But unfortunately, he was edged out by the seven-time Formula One World Champion, Lewis Hamilton.
