Celebrities coming out to the track to watch races in motorsports isn’t something new in the NASCAR fraternity. And recently the Wedding Crasher’s famed actor was seen on NASCAR driver Chase Briscoe’s Instagram story, during the race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Obviously, he was referring to Vince Vaughn’s famous 2005 film, Wedding Crashers, not actually go crash one, though that sure would be funny as hell.

Vince Vaughn once stated who his favorite driver was in NASCAR

Vaughn had been hooked on racing for a very long time, unlike some other celebrities visiting the garages on occasion.

Back in 2015, Vaughn called Dale Earnhardt Sr to have been his all-time favorite driver. When asked about this he stated, “I liked the way the Intimidator would get out there and fight and compete, and as a fan, you love to see that. Rubbin’ is racing, right? That’s exciting. That’s part of it.” He was also invited to be the Daytona 500 grand marshal that year.

The actor used to race himself when he was younger, though only with his friends and not competitively. However, he claimed that he was a rather aggressive driver on the track. Apparently, his actions sometimes meant that he was kicked off the track on a regular basis. He also mentioned that they would often be mischievous and ram into each other aggressively, sending each other to trips to the emergency room.

Of course, if he did things like this in a more competitive environment he wouldn’t have made it past the junior stages. But imagine if he did race, maybe we would have another Ross Chastain-like driver on the field, who knows? Vaughn surely understands the emotions other drivers go through when they are out on track battling it out against other contenders to make or break their legacies.
