It was a red-letter day for both Jimmie Johnson and his former right-hand man, crew chief Chad Knaus, as they got their moment in the spotlight together. The day was also a feather in the cap for Hendrick Motorsports, as the duo won the seven cups for HMS. While soaking in the glory of the Hall of Fame, both remembered where they started.
On one hand, where Chad Knaus reminisced about his cold-call entry into Hendrick Motorsports, Jimmie Johnson had more up his sleeve than just thanks. So, Johson took to Twitter (X), making a splash with a video that was a walk down memory lane. Whether you’re on two wheels or four and so Caler Charlotte. On the driver’s seat, we are up on top of the pit box, Mood Line is a race car mechanic and driving it to the school bus.
“Whether you’re looking up to your heroes driving for them, competing against them. If you’re with us now or up in Heaven, thank you for being a crucial part of this incredible run.”
