After Donald Trump’s Agressive Statement, Bubba Wallace Was Fast-Tracked to Join LeBron James, Colin Kaepernick & Serena Williams in Beats by Dr. Dre Deal

In the last few years, no other driver has had a bigger impact in and out of NASCAR than Bubba Wallace. The 23XI Racing driver has been a big advocate for a range of issues and problems in the sport and in society, something that has earned him his fair share of supporters as well as haters.

However, in 2020, Wallace found himself on the wrong end of the then President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, who blasted him in the light of the ‘noose incident’.

“Has @BubbaWallace apologized to all of those great NASCAR drivers & officials who came to his aid, stood by his side, & were willing to sacrifice everything for him, only to find out that the whole thing was just another HOAX? That & Flag decision has caused lowest ratings EVER!” Trump had said.

But it was this very comment by the President that led Beats by Dr. Dre, to fast track their process of announcing Bubba Wallace as one of their ambassadors.

“We weren’t going to announce this until later this week, but hate cannot win the day. No one should ever be asked to apologize for standing up for what’s right — we are proud to welcome @bubbawallace to the Beats by Dr. Dre family,” the company wrote on Twitter.

Bubba Wallace on the thin line between being cocky and being confident

In a recent interview, the 23XI Racing driver opened up on the one thing that unites him with other racecar drivers is the fine line. The fine line between being cocky and being confident, in his own words.

“There’s a fine line between cockiness and confidence. And was I cocky coming up through? Yeah, I tried to walk that line proudly, the fine line between the two, confidence and cocky,” Wallace said.

“And sometimes you show up and just get your teeth kicked in. That was definitely a humbling moment. But understanding where I’m at, and what it takes.”

He added that sometimes he gets his “teeth kicked in”, something that can definitely be a humbling moment. But the key in this situation, according to Bubba Wallace, is to understand where he is, and “what it takes.”
