Now that it’s over, almost, in all honesty, the way M&M’s announced their departure from NASCAR completely changed the face and dynamics of a lot of teams and drivers is pretty bizarre. Kyle Busch had to leave Joe Gibbs Racing, and Tyler Reddick had to pre-pone his flight to 23XI Racing.

But low-key, the bizarre quotient in this whole thing is still brewing.

Last week, Richard Childress Racing announced that Kyle Busch will be inheriting the sponsors of Tyler Reddick’s #8 team as the two-time Cup Series champion geared up for a ‘comeback’ post a disappointing season on all fronts.

On the other hand, Reddick, joined 23XI Racing, the team co-owned by billionaire Michael Jordan. Jordan is arguably one of the most marketable names in the global athletic landscape. However, the driver of the #45 team is still sponsorless.

And this could be the case for an uncertain period if journalist Bob Pockrass is to be believed.

Tyler Reddick is still in limbo over his sponsors

Tyler Reddick has officially begun work in his new offices at 23XI. Recently a fan asked Pockrass about the state of his sponsors and when an announcement could be expected of the same – “Bob, who are the sponsors for the 45 car?

“Still TBD on sponsors for Reddick,” the NASCAR insider responded.

Reddick’s old sponsor is “excited” to partner with Kyle Busch

As RCR announced the state of Kyle Busch’s 2023 sponsorship, their President Torrey Galida touched upon how business relationships are “paramount” to Richard Childress‘s team.

Perhaps this was the reason why Cheddar’s, one of Reddick’s primary sponsors, expressed their excitement over joining hands with Kyle Busch.

“We’ve loved partnering with RCR and the No. 8 race team since our debut into the sport three years ago, and we’re just getting started,” John Felton, Senior Director of Marketing for Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen said according to NASCAR on NBC.

“We’re excited to welcome Kyle Busch and Rowdy Nation to the Cheddar’s family, and we look forward to celebrating many wins to come.”
