In between the NASCAR Cup races, a handful of drivers were competing in the SRX Series. Among them were current NASCAR stars, Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, Denny Hamlin, Ryan Preece, and Daniel Suarez. At the recently concluded race at the Berlin Raceway, Joey Logano also showed up, but in a different role.
The Team Penske driver and 2-time Cup Series champion was a commentator for the race, which Kyle Busch won.

Joey Logano entertained the thought of offering friendly advice
In the race, the #51 driver fended off a stern challenge from Brad Keselowski in the #6 car for quite a while. All the while, Logano was having the time of his life in the commentary booth.
At one point in the race, he decided to try and annoy his long-time adversary, Kyle Busch. To be precise, the commentary booth was patched through to Busch’s team radio.
He confessed to his co-commentators, “Maybe I should dial Kyle right now and try to make the race a little bit better. Probably not”. The impromptu interview took place on lap 39 out of 100, and Busy initially said that he was preoccupied.
Logano generously offered to be Busch’s spotter, as he ran in 2nd place behind Keselowski. According to the Richard Childress Racing driver, he was just playing a cat-and-mouse game and biding his time.

Kyle Busch then admitted that hearing Logano on the radio “lit a fire under his a**”. Listening to this, the Team Penske star and defending Cup champion lost it right there.
Unfortunately, the small interview provided a bit of a distraction, because Helio Castroneves nudged his way past. After this, Logano admitted that he felt warm and fuzzy, with the knowledge that he could still motivate Busch.

Kyle Busch eventually stormed to victory at the Berlin Raceway
In the last six laps, Busch pulled away during the final restart, and Keselowski couldn’t keep up. With two laps to go, and Busch rabbiting away, Logano cheekily suggested calling his rival. Considering how well it distracted the #51 driver earlier, this was a truly diabolical scheme.

In the end, he controlled his evil side and allowed Busch to cruise to victory in peace. The triumph marked Kyle Busch’s second consecutive Superstar Racing Experience win, after the Pulaski County Motorsports Park win. Now, Busch and Logano will be looking ahead to the next NASCAR Cup race.
