Throughout 2022, NASCAR, as a sport, took a lot of flak be it for the Next Gen car, the tires, the racing not working on certain tracks, or some decisions. Now, criticism is a part of life, but criticism from the insiders, the close ones, always hurts. And perhaps no one’s criticism was bigger than that of Tony Stewart.

The former NASCAR driver and the owner of Stewart Haas Racing took some subtle and some not-so-subtle digs at the sport after a few decisions went terribly left for him.

But now, it seems people involved in Stewart’s latest venture, the NHRA, are also taking some subtle shots at stock car racing.

Just consider what one of Stewart’s rival teams, John Force Racing, recently tweeted a week after the curtain came down on NASCAR’s 2022 season in Phoenix.

“First weekend without NASCAR huh? Tune in to FS1 starting at 2pm ET to see us go 330+ mph in less than 4 seconds 🔥,” the tweet read.

“I’m definitely having more fun than I’ve had in a long time, definitely not anywhere that has fenders on it. So I’m lovin’ this sport,” he said.

The former NASCAR driver even went on to claim that NHRA is much, much better than NASCAR for a live audience on a racetrack. “I love this community. I tell everybody that NASCAR Racing, I feel like it’s 10 times better to watch on TV than it is to be in person on race day,” he described.
