It’s no secret that Kyle Larson is a blazing-fast driver. And he proved that in last weekend’s race at Homestead-Miami Speedway when he took the win after dominating the entire race. Naturally, he would get all the praises and applause for taking the win, especially after his rather unfortunate run this season.

But a NASCAR legend put him on a pedestal, despite his major mishap in the race.

In a recent interview, Kyle Petty applauded Larson on his big win. But he didn’t stop there. In fact, he declared him as the “Best of the rest” at Homestead-Miami!

Petty said, “Well, if you can just get Kyle Larson to Miami, he’s going to win a championship.”

“He wins, but he doesn’t win the championship. But at the same time, I just think there are racetracks that just fit drivers. And there’s a racetrack that from the very first time he went, just fit his style, so yes, he’s the best of the rest there.”

Kyle Petty is well-loved in the community, and for good reason. But he is known for making bold statements. But it looks like the legend just got a new label after he appreciated Kyle Larson.

Fans, in the comments section of the video, nicknamed the legend, “Kyle “Hot Take” Petty” as another fan said, “Kyle Petty -King of Takes”. Of course, he is still well-loved by everyone because he isn’t wrong. Many fans appreciated just how good the race at Miami was this year.

“Homestead was a great race.. Best race of the year to me”

“Congrats Kyle 🏁 What a sweet win!” 

“Homestead was an enjoyable race, but still had some great action.” But this fan had a bold prediction for the last race for the round of 8.

They added “Martinsville, next week, the Backseat Drivers crew, didn’t really say what they should have said: It’ll be all out WAR! We’re talking Chastain vs. Hamlin, Bryon, Elliot for all season, I’m going to get you back. For the win, Bryon will put Logano into the wall, if necessary. What will Blaney or Bell do, to win the race, if they’re way behind on points. If you win, your in. I really believe, the Martinsville race, might have a couple RED flags for all the carnage that’ll happen. Maybe a couple fist fights or helmet throwing’s. Make sure you have plenty of food and drinks for this one; you won’t want to miss a single second.”
