The relationship between a boss and an employee is always a tricky one. Having said that, not everyone is blessed to have a cool leader. Luckily, Chase Briscoe is one of those lucky ones, having the legendary Tony Stewart as his boss. The two have quite a rapport as they enjoy playing pranks on each other. However, Briscoe’s latest attempt to do so seems to have backfired.

Without a doubt, Stewart is one of the highly respected players in the NASCAR Cup Series. While his achievements speak for themselves, the funny side of the Stewart-Haas Racing co-owner is equally entertaining. Recently, Briscoe tried to pay homage the 51-year-old at Talladega but it has failed miserably.

Chase Briscoe fails while giving Tony Stewart a taste of his own medicine at Talladega

Stewart-Haas Racing enjoyed a good run at Martinsville as Chase Briscoe helped them with their second consecutive top-five finish this season. It only got better for the 28-year-old at Talladega on Sunday as he finished fourth in the race. However, rather than this performance, the talk was about his car’s paint scheme.

More often than not, Briscoe and Stewart appear together in all the Mahindra commercials. However, it is the three-time Cup Series champion who frequently enjoys pulling the #14 driver’s legs. In a bid to return Stewart the favor, Briscoe recently planned an unimaginable gimmick.

Since the NASCAR Hall of Famer was expected to be in the FOX broadcast booth, the Indiana-born driver had a devilish idea. Briscoe opted to have a paint scheme of Stewart in his “Smoke” avatar. He liked to call it the “You Old Goat” theme, which was in a way a tribute to the NASCAR legend’s contributions. The scheme sees his boss drinking a cup of coffee in front of several “fan mail” letters.

While it was meant to excite the fans, the end product didn’t quite turn out as accurate as it should be.

There is no doubt about the crazy fan-following Tony Stewart has. Naturally, they are aware of his minute details and features. Chase Briscoe’s “You Old Goat” paint scheme wasn’t quite up to the mark.

Obviously, Stewart’s strong fanbase would not forgive. In fact, some of them had some really hilarious responses on Twitter.

“Looks like he’s gonna try to sell me body wash”

“That’s an awful attempt”

“i.m.o. that looks more like Fred Flintstone than Tony”

“That might be worse than the @NASCARONFOX comic drawings and that’s saying something..”

“The college interns must have come up with that…”

Wonder what Briscoe might be feeling after this. Certainly, Stewart has got one over him without really doing anything. What do you make of this paint scheme? Let us know in the comments below.
