However, the two will face off in a Rocket League match. In essence, Rocket League is a game of football with cars as the players. Matches are usually 3 on 3 affairs with a five-minute timer counting down to zero. On an interesting note, it also has mods that allow for a basketball or ice hockey style gameplay.

What to expect from the Aric Almirola and Sergio Perez clash?

This is the first time the two drivers are competing against each other in Rocket League. On an interesting note, the NASCAR and F1 driver will also face-off in a new Limited Time Mode called Speed Demon. Over here, their car’s rocket boosts run infinitely and the ball’s speed is increased while sacrificing bounce.

This new game mode is perfect for the two professional drivers to face off. The best part is that Almirola and Pérez will have their teams’ respective NASCAR and Formula 1 decals.

Pérez said, “It’s really cool to interact with other athletes. I’ve had a lot of work lately and I haven’t really been able to practice, but of course we don’t want to lose ever, and that includes video games. That’s what makes it fun for the fans. Rocket League is bringing our sport and gamers closer together and that’s super positive.”
