As an Atlanta native, it is fairly obvious that Chase Elliott will be a big fan of the local teams. One of them is the Major League Baseball team, the Atlanta Braves. Recently, Elliott enjoyed an encounter with country music star Riley Green, and Braves legend Chipper Jones.

In his baseball career, Jones racked up 468 home runs and a batting average of .303. He played for the Atlanta Braves throughout his career until his retirement in 2012. However, from the 2021 season onwards, he has acted as the assistant hitting consultant of the team. Under him and manager Brian Snitker, the team won the 2021 World Series, their fourth.

The Atlanta native will be looking forward to the upcoming season and racing with the Gen 7 cars. 2022 is pretty much a race to tame the new cars and become the first Gen 7 champion. Since nobody has a clear advantage over the other, the entire championship scenario has been blown wide open.

Of course, he will not have an easy path to the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series title. Elliott’s first and biggest rival is his own teammate, Kyle Larson, the defending champion. Even his other teammates, Alex Bowman and William Byron could get in the mix. Apart from them, teams to watch out for are Joe Gibbs Racing, Stewart-Haas Racing, Team Penske, and many more. There are drivers like Kurt Busch, Bubba Wallace, Brad Keselowski, and others, who could be dark horses in 2022.
