Aside from his part-time NASCAR Cup Series duties, Austin Cindric is going to defend his 2020 Xfinity title in the upcoming season. Recently, he spoke about kicking off his title defense in the Xfinity Series. In conversation with SiriusXM NASCAR radio, he acknowledged that there will be plenty of fierce competition in 2021.

Cindric said, “I think Saturdays can be even more competitive than they were last year. I’m excited for that prospect obviously in the #22 team we got to put our best foot forward and continue to improve. In a lot of sports, if you’re not improving, you’re going backwards. Continue to build off of what we had last year.

“It’s normalizing perfection in some ways. I’m excited for that and to pick up from where we left off last year,” he added.
