Austin Hill is kicking off his 30th birthday week in style by winning the pole position for Saturday’s Xfinity race at Talladega Superspeedway. He zoomed around the track with a lap time of 52.723 seconds, hitting a speed of 181.629 mph. This isn’t new territory for Hill, who also captured the pole at last April’s Talladega race.

Additionally, this was the fourth pole grabbed by RCR in the 2024 season alone out of the past nine races. Riding a high from his early-season wins at Daytona and Atlanta, Hill has been on fire, barely dipping below P1 place this season, except for a hiccup at Martinsville.

Meanwhile, his Richard Childress Racing buddy, Jesse Love, is gearing up to start at the front of the NASCAR Xfinity Series pack tomorrow, despite clocking a lap at 52.871 seconds and a speed of 181.120 mph, placing him officially at the rear. Right behind him in the lineup is Parker Kligerman from Big Machine Racing, who qualified third.
