Best Reactions from Kyle Larson’s Abu Dhabi GP Appearance as NASCAR Fans Urged F1 To Give Him a Chance

On Sunday, the F1 race at Abu Dhabi saw reigning NASCAR champion Kyle Larson as a spectator. He even got a chance to meet and interact with a few F1 stars. On an unrelated note, Haas F1 driver Nikita Mazepin tested positive for COVID-19 and had to skip the race. When this news broke, there were many fans who were beseeching Haas to field Larson.
Obviously, the Haas F1 team could not rope in Larson, because Mazepin had already qualified for the race. This did not stop the fans from speculating how well he would perform in an F1 car. It also did not help matters when the Hendrick Motorsports driver was spotted in the Haas F1 garage.

So who's going to tell all the F1 guys that Kyle Larson would have dominated the whole race if he was in either car. #AbuDabhiGP

In all honesty, it would not be such a farfetched notion to see the Asian-American driver in a Formula 1 car. This is because he is a hugely versatile driver and is well known for his exploits in different racing arenas. To be precise, he has won races in NASCAR, on dirt, sports cars, and even the 24 Hours of Daytona.
How would Kyle Larson perform in F1?
One fan wrote on Twitter, “Not just going to concede Larson would be as good as Max and the greatest F1 driver of all time. But, his pedigree and results certainly make the debate a serious one. It’d be so fun to see him in a good F1 car to see what he can do.”
@KyleLarsonRacin why didn’t they stick you in the Mazepin car? 😂

Kyle Larson is a different breed and has the potential to excel in any racing series. Honestly, nobody can deny that the F1 drivers are the best in the world. Formula One is the pinnacle of racing, but very few drivers can try to diversify and excel anywhere else. Rare examples are Mario Andretti, John Surtees, and more.

Little truth bomb for you. Larsen could absolutely be competitive in F1. There isn’t an F1 driver that could do what he does. https://t.co/jv2GImdRUR.

The big question is, can Kyle Larson join those ranks in the future? Admittedly, he is 29 years old, so he has likely missed his window of opportunity to try his hand at F1 racing. Despite this, many Larson fans believe that if he was in the Red Bull of Mercedes, he could pose a serious threat. What is your take?
