Last year, Brad Keselowski competed in his last race for Team Penske before joining the Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing as a co-owner and driver. However, in the buildup to the 2022 season, tragedy struck the Keselowski family. Following a two-year battle with cancer, Brad’s father and former NASCAR driver Bob Keselowski passed away late last year at the age of 70. Naturally, the family was devastated and the past year has been a difficult period for them.

A year has passed, and on the day of his father’s death anniversary, Brad Keselowski shared a special message. Needless to say, Brad Keselowski really appreciated the support and made his feelings known. He acknowledged that the pain is still fresh and he still misses his father.

In all honesty, Keselowski’s maiden season as a driver/team owner was fairly rough. His best finish was a fifth place at Homestead-Miami, and he could secure Top 10 finishes only on five occasions. It is also worth mentioning that his team initially struggled with the Next Gen car. In fact, they fell afoul of the new regulations, incurring a hefty penalty that set them back a bit.

Fortunately, the Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing team managed to bounce back a little. This came in the form of Chris Buescher‘s second career win in the NASCAR Cup Series. The triumph was at the Bristol Motor Speedway, and very few people could have seen it coming. Especially considering that the organization had largely been finishing in the middle of the pack.

It remains to be seen whether Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher will be able to turn things around in 2023. The team has obviously had some time to get used to the car and has tinkered enough with it. The only thing left is to prepare hard for the upcoming season and then hit the ground running.
