Just days before this weekend’s Cup race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Brad Keselowski was dealt a bitter blow. As it happened, his usual spotter TJ Majors was unavailable. This was far from ideal for the 2012 Cup champion as spotters are, in essence, a third eye for the racers as they help the driver avoid hazards on track. The good news for the RFK Racing driver was that someone did come to his rescue at the last moment.

That person was none other than his own brother, Brian Keselowski, who is pretty excited to take on the role. The former driver primarily competed in the Xfinity Series, though he did have three Cup Series starts. Safe to say, he has plenty of experience and his younger brother will definitely benefit from that.

The good news for the #6 driver is that he is starting 7th on the grid. This puts him in the fourth row and in a great place to challenge for victory. So far, the 2023 Cup Series season has been a lot kinder to the RFK Racing team. Last year, they struggled a lot with issues with their car and even struggled to comply with the regulations. That resulted in a costly penalty in terms of finances and even championship-wise.

This year, it could be a completely different story as both RFK cars performed very well in the first two races. However, the season is long, and there will be plenty of time for the team to either improve or for their rivals to catch up.
