Another day has passed and another NASCAR seat has been locked and loaded. The JR Motorsports team has confirmed that Brazilian driver Miguel Paludo will race in the #8 Chevrolet on a part-time basis.

The 37-year-old will participate in three Xfinity Series road course events for the coming season. As per reports, Paludo will race at the Daytona International Speedway Road Course, the Circuit of the Americas, and the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

JR Motorsports has linked up with BRANDT Mechanical Services, and Miguel Paludo is familiar with the company as the two shared a successful relationship before in NASCAR.

Miguel Paludo is excited to race in the NASCAR Xfinity Series again

The veteran racer will team up with full-time driver Justin Allgaier in the #7 car, who also shares a great and successful relationship with BRANDT. To be precise, he has amassed 11 victories and four Championship 4 appearances in his Xfinity career.

“This is an amazing opportunity and it’s hard to put in words how grateful I am,” said Paludo.

“Returning to compete in NASCAR has always been one of my top career goals. It has been remarkable to represent BRANDT Professional Agriculture in Brazil since 2015 competing and racing for championships in the Porsche Carrera Cup.

“And to now get the opportunity to race in the NASCAR Xfinity Series along with my teammate Justin Allgaier for BRANDT at JR Motorsports for three races is a dream that is coming true.
