Questionable tweets, distasteful jokes, and add to that the Chicago slander, Brett Griffin almost stole Shane van Gisbergen’s Chicago winning thunder with his shenanigans. Hogging the limelight for all the wrong reasons, the Kaulig Racing spotter has constantly faced the ire of Twitterati in the past month. Once again stirring the controversy pot, Brett Griffin has managed to rile up fans with a recent tweet.

Just three days back, Griffin made his stance pretty clear—he shall remain a devoted Twitterati. Provoking his followers, he took a random poll to know which side they are on: “Is this thing (still) on?” Now, he tweets one more to add to the “thread.”

“Bad knockoff” Brett Griffin takes a gibe at Mark Zuckerberg’s new venture

Brett Griffin’s Chicago onslaught can be traced back up to a year ago when he commented how he’d rather step foot in Atlanta. That would just be the beginning as earlier this year, the spotter distastefully poked fun at the street violence in Windy City. Further, Griffin even went on to tweet how he hoped Justin Haley would ‘dump’ Shane van Gisbergen during the Chicago Cup Series race. Triggering a massive backlash from fans for his insensitive comments, Griffin was forced to break his silence, admitting how he faced “a lot of sh*t for talking a lot of sh*t”.

In what seems to have become a trend for the Kaulig Racing spotter, Brett Griffin is now cross with Meta owner, Mark Zuckerberg. Launching the Threads social media app two days ago, Meta aimed to disrupt Twitter’s reign in the short missive genre. Fueling the fans’ rage, Brett Griffin in a Twitter post wrote, “So what’s the demographic that’s running off to use the thread app? It seemed like a bad knockoff of Twitter to me.”

Taking a gibe at Mark Zuckerberg’s new venture, the Kaulig Racing spotter once again found himself on the receiving end of fans’ wrath.
