Ahead of the Cup Series race at the Kansas Speedway, the 23XI Racing team had a big announcement. As it turns out, the outfit is unveiling a brand new Dr. Pepper-inspired livery. In other words, Bubba Wallace will take to the track in a red and black livery on Sunday.

Apparently, his sponsor Dr. Pepper was advertising its zero sugar drink for this weekend. So the company decided that wasn’t a better way to advertise the beverage than to commandeer a NASCAR machine’s livery. In light of this, the African-American driver will race in red and black overalls.

Wallace enjoyed one of his best races in the 23XI Racing car at Talladega. That eventually culminated in his first-ever stage win, before he eventually finished in 19th place. Although the end result was disappointing, his stage win is actually an encouraging sign and it will boost his confidence.

Truthfully speaking, Wallace has not had a great track record at Kansas. His best finish was an 18th place during the 2020 season in his final year with Richard Petty Motorsports. Now, the driver will be eager to improve on his personal best at the track, and 23XI is just the team to help him.

In the 2021 season, Wallace has been in reasonably decent form. However, he has been unlucky on a few occasions. Nevertheless, he is taking baby steps towards finally reaching Victory Lane. Considering that this season has produced multiple different winners, it is possible that he may join that growing list.

However, it is a question of when he will win, not ‘if he wins’. Without a doubt, Bubba Wallace is a hugely talented driver and 23XI Racing hopes to be the team that brings him glory. Whether that will come in the 2021 season or in the near future, is still a mystery.
