Bubba Wallace is one of the most popular personalities in the NASCAR world. The 23XI Racing driver got married to long-time girlfriend Amanda Carter last December. Without a doubt, it was a grand celebration. After dating for five years, the couple decided to seal the deal, but recently Bubba Wallace confessed a thing that went wrong post-wedding.

Over time, Wallace has grown to become a better driver. Of course, Amanda has played an important role in that with her timely support and backing. She has regularly been spotted at the races encouraging and cheering the 29-year-old. While the couple hasn’t hesitated in showing their affection in public, Wallace recently realized something after tying the knot.

Bubba Wallace confesses a mistake made post his wedding

Wallace recently had an interview with Entertainment Online where he spoke of his life on and off the track. Given how his marriage took place at the end of last year and with the new season starting in February, he and his wife Amanda had to manage their honeymoon celebration in January itself.

Speaking about that, the 2022 Daytona 500 runner-up spoke about how it would have been fine had the honeymoon duration been a little less. He said, “We gave ourselves twelve days in Bora Bora on our honeymoon to totally get away and relax. We realized after we got back, that that was a little too long.

“I think we’re good enough for nine days of being away from home, being away from our dog.”

While he admitted that, he was quick to concede how the extra time off was equally necessary. He added, “But we were able to just disconnect and enjoy time together, because right after that, it was media, press and now we’re here in Daytona, so it’s been a pretty busy off-season.”

Ultimately, whatever happened, happened for the best. At least he didn’t question it as much as he questioned one of his wedding choices.

Wallace admits a wedding choice gone wrong

Wallace and Amanda celebrated their wedding with more than 250 guests attending the event. Yet, the former Richard Petty Motorsports driver felt they could have done by, by promoting their wedding in a diluted fashion.

On this, he told Fox Sports, “I question why we did it.”

Later on, he admitted that since it meant so much to Amanda, he does not have any regrets, especially when he wasn’t able to dedicate as much time to the wedding preparation as he would have liked.
