Earlier today, Denny Hamlin, Michael Jordan, and Bubba Wallace made ripples in the NASCAR driver market. To be precise, Hamlin and Jordan teamed up to establish a new unnamed NASCAR team. And driving for the team is African-American driver, Bubba Wallace.

In the wake of this development, multiple-time Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton tweeted his congratulations. In response, he thanked the Briton and then dropped a massive bombshell. He said something along the lines of seeing Hamilton at the 2021 Daytona 500.

Of course, there has been no indication that Lewis Hamilton will be seen at the Daytona 500 race next year. However, a man like Bubba Wallace can dream about having Hamilton’s support, along with that of Jordan himself.

What lies in the future for Bubba Wallace?

When Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan recruited Wallace, they obviously recognized that he has a lot of talent. Admittedly, neither Hamlin nor Jordan have confirmed further details, like the car that they will use and the team name.

After a lot of uncertainty about his future, Bubba Wallace is finally glad to be staying in the Cup Series. Of course, nobody can predict where the Denny Hamlin-Michael Jordan team will end up in the pecking order.

The #11 driver is insistent that his team will be able to provide Wallace with a race-winning car. Quite a few have acknowledged that Bubba Wallace is an excellent driver who needs a good car under him.

It is worth noting that Denny Hamlin’s involvement is not as high as one may think. This is because he is still an active driver and it would be a conflict of interest. According to the rules, no active driver can have a controlling stake in one team while racing for another.

As a result, the basketball legend will probably shoulder most of the responsibility as the owner. In the meantime, Denny Hamlin can continue to race for Joe Gibbs Racing. However, the 2020 season is not over yet and Hamlin has to focus on trying to catch Kevin Harvick.

Meanwhile, Bubba Wallace will be eager to finish his contract with Richard Petty Motorsports and wait for his first run with his new employers.
