While conversing over the latest episode of the ‘Door Bumper Clear’ podcast, Freddie Kraft mentioned, “We had no idea what we were doing.”
He added, “Like this, like, throw the weights on there. Okay, we run 20 laps. After about five the track was 100% dry. But we just ran 20 I guess probably to just say we did it.”

“So we’re just riding around wasting time, then it starts raining again. Thank God it stopped so we didn’t have to come back the next day, because we’ve wasted so much time. Like, there’s so many different alternatives to this. First of all, if we have wet weather tires, let’s try running them in the wet like crazy idea.”
He went on to question the logic behind drying the track up to 90% and then deciding to put on wet tires, asking what exactly they were trying to achieve. He argued that they could have easily saved 30 minutes by either drying the track more thoroughly before the race or by taking an additional 10-15 minutes later on. The approach left Kraft perplexed and questioning the decision-making process.
