The United States Air Force will serve as the primary sponsor with Bubba Wallace and the No.23 Toyota Camry XSE team for several races throughout the NASCAR Cup Series season. 23X1 announced the partnership with the world’s most formidable airpower on Tuesday via its social media handles.

This is not the first instance that Wallace has partnered with the air wing of the US military. The US Air Force has previously been a primary sponsor for Wallace in the Cup Series from 2018-20. At that time the 30-year-old raced for Richard Petty Motorsports. The partnership between the two means, Bubba Wallace will have the US Air Force paint schemes which he donned during the 2019 season.

You’ve certainly got a great pairing with Wallace and the Air Force, both who strive for excellence and above all their core values. While the Air Force has been a regular sponsor in at least one Cup Series race each season since 2000, the recent partnership with 23X1 did not reveal the number of races they will feature as the sponsor. For Bubba Wallace who has been associated with the Air Force before, this move certainly holds a special place in his heart.

Taking to social media and expressing his delight in the partnership with 23X1, Wallace shared a video of him inside a mean machine F-15. Well, he certainly was not going to do laps this time around, but breaking the sound barriers would certainly have been on the cards. The No.23 for 23X1 claimed that he was holding onto this video for a long time but the recent turn of events allowed him to share a memorable clip.

He posted the video on X with the caption, “Been holding this video for years! Our relationship has meant a lot to me since the beginning. Let’s go work!🤘🏾” While the NASCAR team shared their enthusiasm with a post of their own. “The 23 team is ready to fly fight win this season with Air Force. Welcome to the team. #AimHigh #ForwardTogether @USAFRecruiting.”

The Air Force made a special drop into the Daytona International Speedway and it was none other than Bubba Wallace. In what was the opening race of the season, Wallace made a special entry, sky diving from 10,000 feet from a C-17 Globemaster III. He made a soft landing with the Air Force Wings of Blue parachute team and celebrated with his team before hopping into the No.43 Chevrolet.

It certainly was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and Wallace was ecstatic after the jump. He said, “That was super cool. I’ve been able to go up with the Air Force a couple of times in fighter jets, and I didn’t think that could be beat. I’m still trying to decide if skydiving beat that, but jumping with the Wings of Blue was incredible. The adrenaline rush I got at the moment we stepped off – wow, what a rush it was.
