For some reason, well, okay, the reason is pretty obvious. But still, there was never much elaboration, or at least as much of it as there should’ve been about the window net situation of Ryan Blaney towards the end of the NASCAR All-Star Race earlier this season.

Until now.

Because not only did Blaney open up on what happened during the moments, but he was desperately trying to put the net back up, and he also had a pretty interesting example as to what it was like.

During a reunion for NASCAR Next Now, the window net instance came up between the drivers sitting at the table.

“It wasn’t up,” Corey LaJoie said of the net to which Blaney insisted otherwise. LaJoie put it forward once again, and the Penske driver defended his opinion once again which led Bubba Wallace to jump in and say, “You already got the f*****g money.”

Post the laughter, Blaney went on to use a pretty hilarious example to describe his situation in the car while he was trying to put the net back up.

“It was like 63-year-old man good enough to do it up,” he said.

“Like a couple of blue pills?” LaJoie added.

“Good enough to do it,” Blaney validated.

The Team Penske driver revealed how he thought, as his spotter also told him that the race was over. But a few moments later, Blaney’s spotter told him it wasn’t over, something that he described as “Panic City,” since the net was already down.

“Dude, I’m talking full belts undone, on the seat, trying to get the belt, trying to get this thing,” he described.

After some struggle, Blaney described, he decided to give up as he simply “took it out of the back loop and just lashed the top” of the belt buckle, and left it to hang there.

But it still wasn’t over.

“We’re going down to the backstretch to get checkered, and the thing comes off and hits me right in the helmet so I just grabbed it and put it down to the door I was like, ‘No yellow, please God,'” he added.
