Ahead of this weekend at the Phoenix Raceway, Bubba Wallace will sport a whole new paint scheme for his 23XI Racing car. The No.23 Toyota Camry, as displayed by the team’s social media handles, would have the McDonald’s logo and colors emblazoned on it.

The car has a predominantly red-and-yellow combination, diverting from its initial scheme of orange-and-white. In addition to McDonald’s, the likes of Columbia Sportswear, Doordash and Dr. Pepper all retain their logos on the vehicle’s new skin.

Taking to Twitter and Instagram, 23XI Racing captioned their post by saying, “The @McDonalds paint scheme for @phoenixraceway has landed! Who’s lovin’ it?” Indeed, the final sentence ties in very well with the context, considering that it is McDonald’s’ authentic catchphrase.

One would do well to remember that McDonald’s joined the 23XI Racing project as one of the team’s founding partners. They would thus hope that a change in paint scheme will lead to a reversal in fortunes given the dismal start to the 2021 Cup Series season.

Bubba Wallace would want to secure a good result at Phoenix Raceway

Things have not exactly gone as per plan for the No.23 team, who have so far failed to even come close to a Top-10 finish. The first four rounds have been miserable, considering the potential and capability of Wallace to get the job done during the races.

Following last weekend’s clash, Wallace had expressed his desire to do better in the upcoming races through a tweet. By the looks of it then, the 27-year-old stays upbeat for the time being and looks keen on adding on experiences as part of his and the team’s learning curves.

What does Wallace’s record at Phoenix look like?

Bubba certainly accumulated a few interesting results at this Sunday’s location during his time with Richard Petty Motorsports. In his last six races at Phoenix, Wallace has earned three top-half finishes, including a 10th place in 2018.

Even from his time in the Xfinity and Trucks Series, he contributed with some good finishes, meaning he is well acquainted with the track. With 23XI Racing on the lookout for one, Wallace could well showcase what he is capable of this weekend.
