With 2020 halfway through, a few people are training their eyes at 2021 and the new NASCAR season. One of them is Bubba Wallace, who is waiting to find out about his future in NASCAR, along with many of his contemporaries.

Recently, Wallace spoke to FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass about his future in the sport.

Wallace opened up on the most important factors in deciding his next step in NASCAR. He said, “The first thing I wanted to deal with was RPM (Richard Petty Motorsports).

“I can’t believe that it’s already been three years. The first thing I said was, feeling like a family, and that’s very important to me.”

He admitted that it is easy to get caught up in a feeling that you are just a driver, and just have to show up at the racetrack. However, the Richard Petty Motorsports team really made him feel like a family and he was close to Richard Petty, himself.

Bubba Wallace also admitted that he is very big on family, so he wants to have that same feeling again. In addition to that, he also wants to win races and make a name for himself on the circuit.

Until then, he and the team simply have to wait and figure things out on their own.

Richard Petty Motorsports are eager to bring him back to familiar territory and have made him an offer. They even made him a part-owner of the team to sweeten the deal.

RPM owner, Andrew Murstein said, “I would love to see other team owners in all sports also give ownership to their athletes.”

However, they could face some competition from the Chip Ganassi Racing team. If Wallace takes CGR’s offer, he could race under the #42 number in place of Matt Kenseth.
