Hendrick Motorsports has been a dominating force in NASCAR quite regularly. Other contenders have always fought hard to find ways to overcome their overwhelming presence in the sport. However, recently Bubba Wallace’s spotter, Freddie Kraft felt that Hendrick’s was pushing against the Next Gen car to yield benefits for themselves.

Freddie Kraft stated, “I think we’ve seen a lot of those comments from guys in the Hendrick Camp that dominated the season last year. They would like to get back to dominating the season next year so they would like to make their own parts again, let that box open up a bit more and I don’t think NASCAR’s gonna let that happen.”

Griffin then stated, “Joe Gibbs and Hendricks were 100% against the way, to your point this new car went. Because they lost control. And Richard Childress’s world loved the direction the new car went, well they want races this year worked out well for em. you’re not gonna go to back to the point where the teams have full control in all the areas that they did. Now NASCAR has full control.”
