Who would’ve thought heading into Martinsville that Ty Gibbs would take the baton of NASCAR’s most disliked driver from Bubba Wallace in one swift move? But that’s exactly what happened.

Gibbs took out his own teammate out of a race-winning position, out of the playoffs, took the win, celebrated it with a pretty big burnout, got the boos, did some hand gestures to infuriate the booing fans even more, and then took no responsibility for his actions, showing no remorse in the process.

This was something that NASCAR spotters recently discussed as a funny remark from one of the spotters, Brett Griffin, took Bubba Wallace’s spotter, Freddie Kraft, down the memory lane of the whole ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ controversy.

“A lot of those guys like that go out and…that’s what I did, that’s what I wanted to do,” TJ Majors said of Gibbs’ actions. “There’s no like, ‘Man I really hated to do that. I didn’t want to win that way, but I’m happy for my guy..’, there’s no, gets out and calls it on like, ‘ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!'”

“This doesn’t make sense. Now you got an enemy, another enemy, another one.”

Following this, Brett Griffin made the funny remark as he said, “We make fun of TJ’s initials, standing for ‘Thanks Junior’, what does T.G. stand for? ‘Thanks, Grandpa,'” to which Freddie Kraft added, “That gave me Let’s Go Brandon vibes.”
