During the NASCAR Cup race at Bristol, Cody Ware did a pretty contradictory thing when he rammed into Chase Elliott while complaining about him tired of being picked on. But what should he expect after all? He tried wrecking the most popular driver in the sport, a driver who notoriously has some of the most loyal and aggressive fans.

This was something that Freddie Kraft, the spotter of Bubba Wallace, also emphasized.

In a recent episode of the Door Bumper Clear podcast, the NASCAR spotter spoke about Cody Ware ramming the Hendrick Motorsports driver from behind, and then complaining about being a laughingstock himself.

“The reason why, we say this all the time, and ideally, if you’re the guy that’s in the (No.) 51, I’m not going to say it’s Cody Ware, it could be anybody that’s in that position where you are literally the slowest car or one of the slowest cars on the track every week, your job in this sport is not to be noticed at all,” Kraft said.

“Like you don’t want to be for noticed for anything because anything you’re getting noticed for is probably going to be bad,” he continued. “And the really good way to fly under the radar is by running into the most popular driver in the sport under caution.”

“Listen, you’ve gotta be smarter than that. I know you guys want to stop being picked on, you want to stop being the laughingstock, well stop making news f*****g like this. And maybe people will stop laughing at you.”

The crew chief of Chase Elliott threatened to whip Cody Ware’s a**

During the race, under the caution,  just as Ware rammed Chase Elliott’s car from behind, his crew chief Alan Gustafson made some pretty angry, but appropriate comments on the radio.

Chase Elliott’s crew chief, who recently found himself on the wrong end of his driver’s loyal fanbase as a scapegoat, added“He’s a fucking moron, he’s been in the fucking way… if he cuts our tire I’m gonna whip his ass.”

“Better get ready to whip his ass because he’s trying to,” Elliott’s spotter chimed in.
