People can sometimes be very perplexing individuals. And perplexing individuals in groups, well they can be annoying, devoid of logic, and in some instances, some, make sense. Perhaps this was the situation that few of the NASCAR fans faced during a race weekend earlier this year.
It is from the time when gasoline prices were skyrocketing in the country. And the eyes, ears, and mics turned to motorsports, including the premier league of stock car racing.
Ahead of a race, a reporter asked several fans, “Do you think it’s irresponsible of NASCAR to be holding this race considering the gas prices are so high?”

Now, their replies ranged all the way from defensive, ignorant, fun, and cool.
“You know, we pay for beer? Gas is cheap,” said one fan while another replied, “It don’t matter to me. I wonder how much they have to pay for it.”
One fan emphasized how, “you have to have NASCAR,” while one said, “I mean, how can you stop NASCAR? No matter how much gas it’s gonna be, they’re still gonna pay for it.”
But perhaps the best response, or certainly the funniest one was from the fan towards the end as he said, “No, more gas, the better.”
“Burn it.”
