Denny Hamlin didn’t have the best of runs in the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway on Sunday. However, he seems confident going into the remaining two races of the Round of 8. He won Stage 2 but went into the wall in the final stages and was unable to stage a comeback.
20 points above the cutline, Hamlin, in a post-race interview, said, “We can win every week. Every week, we’re upfront. I think we can win next week. We can win the week after that, and we can win the week after that. Not too worried about having to go out there and win because I know we can do it.”

What happened to Denny Hamlin at Kansas?
While some may say Denny Hamlin threw it in a rather tough outing for him at Kansas in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoff, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver feels confident of turning it around in the remaining races.
Hamlin was forced to pit under the green flag after the car got damaged after hitting the wall off Turn 4 on lap 180. It was severe enough for the right-side tires and right rear-fender to require attention.
This knocked the #11 FedEx Toyota Camry driver off the lead lap and back into the 28th position.

While the race saw a few more cautions before the checkered flag, Hamlin took the wave around under the lap 199 caution and then the final one at lap 222 to finish 15th.
Denny Hamlin had won at Talladega. He won the 2nd Stage before hitting the wall in the final one and losing out. However, the confidence that Hamlin oozes is only fair considering that he has won at Texas and Martinsville before, the venue for the next two races.
