After the late-race contact with Carson Hocevar, Ryan Preece made absolutely no attempts to hide his frustrations in calling out the young driver. The thing is, Hocevar control of his truck and ran up the line as he crashed into Preece, leading to an epic rant from the latter.

“I just want to focus on that final restart, that restart where him and I drove side by side. All you kids watching right now wanting to get to this level … don’t do that. Race with respect. Don’t wreck the guy outside of you trying to win his first race, it doesn’t get you anywhere,” Preece said.

“I race for a living, and if I don’t run good, I don’t make a lot of money. So I’m pissed right now. We got to two more races to try and go have some good runs. But that’s so stupid, really stupid. Don’t be like that.”

However, Hocevar tried to make his case to Preece, albeit a little too late. The #42 driver reacted to a tweet from FOX: NASCAR in which Preece made his annoyance clear to him.

He replied, “racers race. I was gonna try and track out as much as possible to stall you out down the back, you got to my rr earlier then expected got me really loose and I crashed us. Racers try to capitalize and sometimes get greedy and step too far. that was me tonight. call it how it is.”

What did Carson Hocevar say after the race?

Hocevar himself was pretty frustrated after the race. However, his frustrations were with himself as opposed to any other driver.

“A dumbass move by myself. It just sucks. I tried really hard, and I tried too hard. Didn’t get a restart and just tried too hard and I tried to wash them up and I just crashed myself,” a disheartened Hocevar said.

Hocevar knew he had the chance to win the race, which was pretty clear from the fact that he led the highest number of the laps in the race.

So him being incredibly upset with himself for the way he messed up the restart, and eventually, his whole race makes sense.
