As has been the case this year, the sport will apply its formula to decide the grid for the showdown. As a result, Chase Briscoe will start on pole position, with Noah Gragson alongside him on the front row. Meanwhile, Austin Cindric starts 3rd, ahead of Justin Allgaier. The Top-3 are locked in a massive dogfight in the Playoffs, so this race is extremely important for them. Talladega heralds the second race in the opening round of the Playoffs, so the pressure is well and truly on. Chase Briscoe has practically sealed his berth with a win at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Now the race is on to stop him from grabbing a second win on the trot.
