On November 28, Chase Elliott celebrated his 25th birthday. The son of Bill Elliott made his NASCAR debut in 2015 at Martinsville; from there, his full-time debut came in the 2016 season at Daytona. Later on, he put in decent performances, all culminating in a maiden win at Watkins Glen in 2018.
Prior to that, he managed to finish fifth in the 2017 Cup Series championship. To achieve this, he strung a series of consistent results, despite not reaching Victory Lane. In the 2020 season, Elliott would go on to take five race wins, starting with Charlotte. From there, he racked up wins at the Daytona Road Course, a Charlotte Roval win, Martinsville, and the season finale at Phoenix.

How has Chase Elliott performed in his NASCAR career?
It is worth noting that when Elliott won at Watkins Glen, he ran out of fuel at the end. This only goes to show how determined he was to win. Later on, when he won the season finale at Phoenix, he could not help but be emotional. To make matters even sweeter, teammate and living legend, Jimmie Johnson, was among the first to congratulate him.

Elliott also etched his name in the record books as the youngest Cup Series champion. Now that he has turned 25 and has a maiden title under his belt, the sky is the limit. However, the 2021 season will be a big test for the Hendrick Motorsports driver. As the reigning champion, he now has a massive target on his back.

With the likes of Kyle Larson joining the team, Elliott’s job has grown tougher. Larson is an excellent driver and a proven race winner, while William Byron and Alex Bowman are no slouches. The remaining Championship 4 contenders will also be eager to wrest the crown from him. Finally, drivers like Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch are also lurking.
