Chase Elliott Believes Daytona Road Course Will Be a Challenge for Everyone

The next race on the NASCAR plan is Sunday’s Go Bowling 235. It will be run on the Daytona road course. It is a similar course, with alterations, utilized for the Rolex 24 hours at Daytona. Chase Elliott, like most other Cup drivers, mentions he will have to go through hours of simulation to get the hang of this one of a kind road course. It will be utilized again for the 2021 Busch Clash race at Daytona.

NASCAR has even added an additional chicane so as to cut the speed of the vehicles. NASCAR will race at the Daytona road course the first run through ever.

The track was added to the NASCAR Cup Series plan as the season saw a few changes due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Daytona Road Course race replaces the yearly street course race in Watkins Glen International in New York. The Xfinity Series and Truck Series will likewise be utilizing the Road Course this end of the week.

Can Chase Elliott live up to the expectations?

Chase Elliott comes to Daytona with three straight top-10 completions. He’s not completed superior to seventh in his last seven races. Chase Elliott believes Kyle Busch will the one challenging driver. “The one guy I look at that really is Kyle Busch, having come off that 24-hour event this year,” Elliott says.

He is not seen as a road course winner by the experts. Although, Chase Elliott won a year ago’s race at the Charlotte Roval, the latest street course race.
