The 2020 Cup Series champion has taken a shine to road courses, having won the last 4 of 5 Cup races in this category of racetracks. Chase has also said that his father was a great road course racer himself, so maybe it is very much in the genes!

Elliott recently graced the famed Circuit of The Americas (COTA) racetrack as part of a Goodyear tire testing session. With his road course skills, there is probably a reason why NASCAR and their official tire supplier wanted him to help them with key feedback pointers.
Meanwhile, the No.9 has begun his title defense season in somewhat decent fashion. After a stunning 2nd-place at Daytona 500, Elliott looked good for another Top-5 finish at the Daytona Road course. Ultimately, though, he could only muster up a 21st place finish.
