One of the things that all NASCAR fans have been wondering ever since Ross Chastain pulled off that video game move in Martinsville, is if other drivers have also thought of that. Could we see, for instance, a repeat of the same by the #1, or even Chase Elliott, Joey Logano, or Christopher Bell in Phoenix?

The answer to that is most probably no. But as for whether the drivers have thought of pulling that off before, the answer is yes, as Joey Logano and Chase Elliott recently admitted.

“Obviously, you thought about this, for a while, you had to..” Logano said in a recent interview with his three competitors for the Cup Series championship. “I thought about doing this for years, but I never had the reason to actually to do it.”

The #22 driver also asked his fellow drivers if they too have thought of this move before.

“Yeah, I’ve thought about it a lot, we’ve all played video games,” Elliott replied.

The Hendrick Motorsports driver’s response led Logano to say, “When I was seven, you guys weren’t even born,” but he was quickly cut off by Chastain as he added, “You’re not that much older than us!”

Chase Elliott feels it’s “certainly commendable” what Ross Chastain did

Further speaking about Ross Chastain’s move, Chase Elliott added big words of praise for the #1 driver, but he also seconded what his Hendrick Motorsports teammate said.

“It’s certainly commendable for a guy to do what he had to do to get the job done. I totally respect that and I think that deserves some respect,” Elliott said. “From the global landscape of our sport, when you kind of step back and look at it, I think it is a bit embarrassing really.”
