The Hendrick Motorsports Kyle Larson needs no introduction. With the Cup Series season right around the corner, he will soon be seen among the frontrunners. But that’s not all. Fans who follow Larson know that the versatile driver is maintaining a tight schedule racing at other events as well.

Larson was recently interviewed by David Gravel, a professional racing driver, on his YouTube channel. During the interview, Larson shed light on his journey as a driver, his family, and his plans for 2023. It was a treat for the fans as the interactive session gave them the opportunity to directly put up questions to their favorite NASCAR star. In response to a question, he shared his views on rally racing and how he talked with Chase Elliott about it.

Will Kyle Larson make a foray into rally racing?

The fan’s question was, “Would do you guys ever like to get into rally racing like Nitro rallycross or anything like that?” Gravel replied in the affirmative and added, “I know like Michael Andretti owns a team. Guys like Tanner Faust and Travis Pastrana and I believe Brian Deegan race those type of cars. They look like a lot of fun.”

Kyle Larson, talking about his intentions about Nitro Rx, said, “Like Chase has ran it now a couple years. I would totally, I would do it for sure. Chase, I’ve talked to him a little bit about it and like he really enjoys it and just kind of… Yeah I mean it’s way different than what you or I are used to. I would do it for sure, it looks like a blast.”

Larson has a love for various race tracks and has competed in a lot of races outside NASCAR. His participation in various dirt/sprint races has yielded him several wins and records, among them, being voted the 410 Sprint Car Driver of the Year in 2021. After spending years at the Chili Bowl, Larson won 2 consecutive years creating a benchmark for himself.

As recently announced, Larson will be racing in the 2024 Indianapolis 500 for Arrow McLaren, with full support of Hendrick Motorsports. In doing so, he would become the fifth driver to attempt the Double, which includes racing the Coca-Cola 600 on the same day. Considering his craze for exploring all avenues related to racing, it is only a matter of time before he finds himself racing alongside Elliott at Nitro Rx.
